摘要:In the optimal partial transport problem we are asked to find the most economical way to transport a portion of mass of the source domain to the target domain. It was proved by Caffarelli and McCann that there is a hypersurface, called free boundary, separating the active region and the fixed region. A major problem left open in Caffarelli and McCann's work is the higher regularity of the free boundary. In this talk, we will discuss some recent progress on related problems. This is based on a joint work with Jiakun Liu and Xujia Wang.

报告人简介:陈世炳,入选国家级青年人才计划,中国科学技术大学数学系特任教授,博士生导师。先后于美国MSRI和澳洲国立大学数学系从事博士后研究。长期致力于Monge-Ampere方程及其在最优传输和几何中的应用。研究成果多次发表在Ann. Math.、Adv. Math.、J. Math. Pures Appl.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、SIAMJ. Math. Anal.、J. Funct. Anal.等国际著名期刊上。
